From Pokhara, we drive you to Beni – the headquarters of Myagdi district. During your journey, enjoy beautiful landscapes, terraced paddy farming and fantastic views of the hills and Himalayas. Overnight, we stay at Beni.
After taking early breakfast, we follow the trail upstream to Myagdi Khola. When we reach Darbang, the trail rises higher and passes through the alpine forest. Finally, we reach Dharapani and you can witness Dhaulagiri Mountain closely. Overnight, we stay at Dharapani.
Today, after enjoying a warm breakfast, we continue our trek above the village witnessing the spectacular views of Mt. Nilgiri and Dhaulagiri. Further, we ascend over a ridge. We continue climbing alongside the Dhara Khola, cross a suspension bridge and pass by waterfalls. We reach Lumsum – a large Magar village. Following an upward trail for a few hours and passing orchid, we reach Moreni with scattered houses. Overnight, we stay here at Moreni.
Today's hike takes us through rhododendron woodland up to the ridge. The route rises a little more to a crest, then turns right beneath the prayer flags to the huge meadow at Jaljala La. Enjoy the greatest sunset and dawn views ranging from the whole Dhaulagiri (8167m) massif to Purtha Himchuli Nilgiri and the Annapurna range.
Today's trek continues across the plateau enjoying better vistas of Dhaulagiri. The route descends from here passing a stone hut and a herder's cottage before crossing three wooden bridges. Then, we reach the intersection of two streams. Follow the creek as it leads you past more herder houses and pine forest to the large open valley of Gurjaghat. Continue on the level route to Chyantu – Dhorpatan's first settlement. Follow the dispersed dwellings of Bagatar and Baglung to Dhorpatan hamlet dwelling Tibetans descendants, several Magars and Chhetris.
Leaving Dhorpatan, we start our journey heading north into the completely deserted countryside. Today you feel more challenging but beautiful on the journey. The trail ascends above the valley level, splitting right after 25 minutes to a cluster of homes. The route ascends diagonally to the false peak and then continues to the crest and herder hut. Views of the Phagune Dhuri pass may be seen from the peak. The route crosses the tree line and traverses a rugged wilderness terrain before reaching Phagune Dhuri. You can enjoy spectacular views of the Churen Himal range and Putha Himchuli. The route passes via the forest and reaches our campsite – Thakur.
Today, we follow the trail down to Ghatlang passing through gloomy and mossy woodland. After crossing the wooden bridge we ascend steeply to Ghatlang hamlet. We continue going ups and downs the ridge and reach Khalim on the hilltop. Then, the track falls steeply over roots and through dense forest and drops to Jhatlung Khola. Finally, crossing the bridge, we reach Tatopani. Overnight, we stay at Tatopani.
Today, we cross the bridge over Pelma Khola and climb steeply for 20 minutes before winding northwest around the slope. You eventually arrive at Gulbang – a large settlement. Then, the route turns left beyond Gulgang and rises out of the Pelma Khola valley. It's a long climb up through the field, across the side creek, and into a steeply channeled gorge of rhododendron trees. Finally, climb a pass and trek a short distance to Dhule. Overnight, we stay at Dhule.
Today, we walk upward steeply through the moss-draped woodland above Dhule. Then, the trail steadily ascends the ridge with spectacular views of Dhaulagiri to the east. The walk continues up to Nautale Bhanjyang before descending sharply to Seng Khola valley, a branch of Pelma Khola. We continue our trek along the west side of the river, gradually ascending to the Seng Khola campsite. Overnight, we stay at a camp.
Our trail west leads gradually leads to the ridge crest at 4,260m. We continue into another side valley and traverse above a small lake. The route climbs gradually toward Panidal La (4530m) and drops another alpine basin, which keeps heading down to the valley floor. Cross the stream and campsite is about 15 minutes’ walk to a meadow ridge. We follow the west path steadily climbing to the ridge crest. We continue to another side valley, crossing above a tiny lake. The path progressively ascends to Panidal La, then descents into another alpine basin before continuing down to the valley level. After that, we cross the brook and have a walk of approximately 15-minutes. Finally, we reach our campsite – Purpang.
On this day, the trail begins with a rise from the campground to a tiny pass marked by two rocks, then a crossover into the next valley green meadow. Further, the route ascends a sandy, rocky ravine to five rock cairns at the peak of Jangla Bhanjyang. For the first 400 meters, our path dips sharply from the pass, then levels off and makes a high traverse. Round the hill into the next valley for a glimpse of holy Mt Puth, then drop steeply through the forest to upper Shahar Tara. The trek proceeds past the settlement, through maize and millet fields toward the Bheri River. Finally, we reach Tarakot – today’s final destination.
After early breakfast, we resume our trek from Tarakot to Laini. We follow the Tarap River upstream, cross a suspension bridge. While having lunch sitting on an open space, you can see Sandul Gompa on the east of Tarakot and an intersection of Baglung Khola and Tarap Chu River. After a few hours of ups and downs and passing through terraced farmland and rural villages, we reach Laini. Overnight, we stay at a camp here.

Today, our trek crosses through Kamattarka – the intersection of the Tarap Chu River and Lang Khola. Then, we walk by a narrow gorge and pass through juniper bushes, wild roses and dry inner Himalayan valleys. A further walk for about 3 hours, we reach Dho Tarap – the mainly inhabited by the Magars and a few Tibetans. Overnight, we stay here at Dho Tarap.
Today, we take rest, acclimatize and explore Dho Tarap. ‘Dho Tarap’ means ‘lower end of the valley’ in the Tibetan language. At Dho Tarap, we see a cluster of houses surrounded by crop fields. Also, trek up to the Ribo Bhumpa Gompa above the village. Inside the chorten, you can see paintings representing both Bompo and Nyingma traditions. From Nyingma Gompa, you can have an excellent view of the Tarap valley. Also, this night, we spend here at Dho Tarap.

From Numa La, we drop to Baga La Bhedi, set up a camp and stay there overnight.
Our trek from Baga La Pass starts after taking early breakfast. We ascend another slope from here, and then drop to Chyugur Khola and cross the suspension bridges to reach Nawarpani. We spend the night in the Nawarpani setting up a camp.
