Day 01: Arrival Day and Trek Briefing in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,265ft.)

When you land at the Tribhuvan International Airport, you will meet our representative. He/she will greet you and drive to our luxury Nepali authentic restaurant and assist you to check-in at Thamel. So, please keep your eyes on someone holding a placard with your name or our company’s name – Sustainable Adventure Nepal. In the evening, we arrange a short introduction meeting. You will meet your guide, and our trekking expert will provide you with all the detailed information about the trek. We offer you a welcome dinner and you simply take a rest at the restaurant. Overnight, you stay at our restaurant and restore your energy to accomplish your upcoming adventurous trip to Helambu Trek.

Day 02: Full day Kathmandu City Tour

Today, you are going to enjoy the Kathmandu Valley Tour – the city full of World Heritage Sites, Nepali culture and many more to explore. Early morning, we offer you a warm breakfast and your sightseeing starts with our city guide. At first, you visit Pashupatinath Temple – the holiest Hindu Temple on the bank of the sacred Bagmati River, then move to Boudhanath Stupa – the biggest Buddhist Stupa architecture in the world. After that, we drive you to Patan Durbar Square. In addition, we take you to Swayambhunath Stupa – the 2000 years old legendary stupa on the hilltop also nick-named as monkey temple. Finally, we come to Kathmandu Durbar Square, observe Kumari Temple (living goddess temple), Nautale Durbar, the Kaal Bhairav, the Swet Bhairav, the freak streets and more. Your exciting city tour finishes in the evening. You take a delicious dinner and take a rest collecting energy for the upcoming adventure.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Sundarijal (1,460m/ 4,790ft) and trek to Chisopani (2,215m/7,266ft):

Taking an early breakfast, we start our trek to Helambu. First of all, we drive you from Kathmandu to Sundarijl in our private van/jeep. Around 90 minutes’ drive passing by Bouddhanath Stupa – a world heritage site, sub-urban rural settlements and farmland, we reach Sundarijal. From Sundarijal, we start our trek passing the dense forest of Shivapuri National Park. Next, the trail climbs up to Tamang village Mulkharka. Continuing our trek ahead, we reach Chisopani through a small pass of Borlang Bhanjyang.

Day 04: Trek from Chisopani to Kutumsang (2,470m/ 8,103ft):

Today, after taking a delicate breakfast, we start heading towards Kutumsang from Chisopani. Be ready to trek through a more challenging trail than yesterday. We have to climb cliffs and pass through narrow ridges which take us to Chipling and Kutumsang villages. Firstly, we drop down along a narrow ridge of Pati Bhanjyang passing the green terraced fields. We go to a small village Chipling. From Chipling, the route goes up to Lapcha Danda, and then we descend to Gul Bhanjyang. Lastly, we reach to Jogin Danda and then Kutumsang. Overnight, stay at Kutumsang and rest.

Day 05: Trek from Kutumsang to Tharepati (3,690m/ 12,105ft)

On this day, we travel from Kutumsang to Tharepati. You feel unique and enjoyable seeing the first glimpse of snow-capped peaks such as Dorje Lakpa, Jugal Himal, Gauri Shankar Range, and Langtang Range. From Kutumsang, we follow the dense oak and rhododendron forest up to Kyuola Bhanjyang and then to Magengoth, an outstanding shepherd's community. Above the settlement, we climb the hilltop and enjoy a pristine view of enticing peaks and massif. At last, at Tharepati, the route ascends through the dense forest on the ridge to the shelter. Overnight, we stay here at Tharepati.

Day 06: Trek from Tharepati to Tarke Ghyang (2,600m/ 8,530ft):

We take a warm breakfast early and start following the track to Tarke Ghyang. During our journey, we pass through dense woodland, terraced fields, and a small settlement. Further, we cross bridges, enjoy green lush vegetation, wildlife and a beautiful monastery. After that, dropping down from Melamchigaon and passing through lush woodland, we reach Helambu – the largest settlement in that region. Enjoy popular Sherpa culture, observe their culture and visit the two oldest monasteries. The whole night, we stay here at Tarke Gynag.

Day 07: Trek from Tarke Ghyang to Shermathang (2,590m/ 8,500ft):

On this day, you enjoy the shorter and easier trek than the previous days. We descend from Tarke Ghyang through the deep forest enjoying the beauty of tranquil greenery and spectacular views of the massive snow-capped peaks. After a few hours, we arrive in Shermathang, a Sherpa village. From Shermathang, observe the astonishing views of the Jugal Himal, Ganesh Himal, Langtang, and Rolwaling ranges. Overnight, we stay at Shermathang.

Day 08: Trek from Shermathang to Melamchi Pul Bazaar; and drive to Kathmandu:

Helambu Trek concludes today. We follow the trail down from Shermanthang to Melamchi Pul Bazaar passing through dense woodland, terraced fields and several small Sherpa villages. Reaching Melamchi Bazaar, we rest for some time and take lunch. Finally, we drive you to Kathmandu.

Day 09: Farewell/Departure Day:

On this final day, offering you a delicate breakfast, we transfer to the Tribhuvan International airport via our private transportation. We bid a happy ‘Goodbye’ to you and wish you a safe flight.
